Visualizing thousands of nodes and edges in a network visualization

We launched another upgrade today — this upgrade vastly betters the performance of our network drawing feature. In the past, it took 30 seconds to draw a graph of ~3000 edges, with an upper limit of around 4000 edges. Now, you wait 5 seconds to draw the same number of relationships and you can now draw up to 10,000 edges!

Check out our benchmark times.

The larger the number of relationships, the more performance degrades. This is true in both edit-mode and view-mode. Of course, we are constantly working on making the editor and map viewing experience snappy and smooth. Over the next few months, we'll be pushing out even more performance-related features.
