Graph visualization across industry and academia

From educational research to finance, Rhumbl maps are used for storytelling, analysis and discovery.

For educators, we have examples and templates of making curriculum maps, using Rhumbl as a concept map maker, and mapping outcomes, skills and jobs. Or, keep reading to see how Rhumbl is used elsewhere in the wild.

Biological networks

Network visualization of protein interactions

The study of protein-protein interactions (PPINs) is important for many applications, such as developing new drugs, and remains one of the big challenges in modern medicine. Protein-protein interactions are often represented in a graph form, where nodes represent proteins, and edges between nodes represent the interaction between two proteins. These networks are easily vast, and putting them into graph visualization makes analytics and research much easier.

Here, we have a dataset from The Network Data Repository with Interactive Graph Analytics and Visualization, Ryan A. Rossi and Nesreen K. Ahmed, AAAI, networkrepository.com, 2015.. We downloaded this dataset and used Rhumbl to make a network visualization.
